Uttarakhand is mostly covered by mountains and forests. It has beautiful Himalaya ranges and is also referred as the land of Gods. Beautiful pilgrimage spots like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri are worth experiencing. Nanda Devi is the second highest mountain range in India and lies between India and Nepal. Many big names had trekked on this mountain range and made several records that are sill unbeatable. Experienced trekker has achieves great heights in this area. It is always fun to have an expedition or camp in Nanda Devi. Another place for trekkers is Chopta pass which has amazing views. Chopta is also known as “Mini Switzerland” because it has every essence of Switzerland. Snow capped mountains are an ordinary views of this place.

Panchachuli is another beautiful place that puts up in eastern Kumaon region of Uttarakhand and is very much suitable for trekkers to carry on their expeditions, camp and mountaineering. Another place fort trekking in India is Kuari pass that had a great history from the time of Lord Curzon (Viceroy of India). The pass is also known as Curzon’s trail. Rocky mountains, icy slopes and glaciers are pretty much common out here.
