The Val d’Isere Electric Motor Show is a spectacular event that showcases the world’s greatest eco-friendly vehicles and newest green innovations. It is a celebration of the strides that have been taken to protect the environment in recent times, which is in line with the resort’s ethos and commitment to protecting the environment.

I think that attending the show this July as part of a short break in Val d’Isere would be a wonderful experience for both professionals and the public alike. Now in its third year, this year looks set to be the best yet as it has doubled in size since the 2016 edition.

Set in the heart of the picturesque Tarentaise Valley mountains, this fun yet also very important four-day event allows members of the public to interact and engage with those working in the electric transportation industry and get an insight into exciting new projects and innovations. It is taking place between the 13th and 16th of July at the entrance to the Vanoise area and is free of charge. You simply need to arrange a flight and transfer to Val d’Isere from Geneva, as well as book your accommodation – you will then be all set for what looks set to be an excellent and fascinating couple of days in this stunning setting.

What to Expect

There will be over 400 eco-friendly vehicles on show in the enormous indoor exhibition area, plus a collection of impressive electric race cars to behold. You can also check out a test centre for hybrid and electric cars, get behind the wheel with test drives in the centre of Espace Killy and watch press conferences and award presentations for the best cars on show. There is a gigantic programme of sports and entertainment both at the show and the resort centre, so there will never be a dull moment. Simply walking around and soaking up the electric atmosphere (no pun intended) will be a fantastic experience.

How to Get There

Fortunately, it is very easy to reach the beautiful Val d’Isere commune in the Tarentaise Valley. The nearest airport is Geneva, which is just a 90-minute flight from London, and there are regular flights made throughout the week by a handful of airlines.

It is then roughly 3 hours away by road, so it is best to book a Shuttle Direct transfer to Val d’Isere from Geneva airport. This means that you do not have to worry about car hire or public transportation, and you can sit back and relax as you are whisked into the picturesque mountains.

This year’s Val d’Isere Electric Motor Show looks set to be the best one yet. It has doubled in size and many amazing innovations have been made in the last year, so you can expect to be amazed at the technology and vehicles on show all within epic natural surroundings. Get in touch today to find out more or to book your transfer to Val’ d’Isere from Geneva.
