Bible has the phrase Anointing Oil about 20 times. It is seen in both New and Old Testaments, though more prominent in the Old Testament. The recipe to be utilized is given at length and was intended for use by high priests and His descendants, Tabernacle and adornments to set them aside as Holy. While there's nothing to state these ingredients are powerful, they're healing oils. If you read the New Testament, you can see the disciples heal those who're sick using Anointing Oil.

Wondering if today's Christians can use Anointing Oil? I say, Why not? Scripture doesn't forbid us from doing this. In the Bible, the Anointing Oil is cited as a symbol for Holy Spirit. You can find the best oils in Israel and their Anointing Oil recipe retains the instructions from Bible for most part. What's astonishing here? After all, it is God's chosen country. The Hebrew word Anointing refers to rubbing or massaging a person with oil.

During the olden days, they anointed people to heal them and the healers were mostly holy men or women or priests. In some cultures, people went (and still do) to a Shaman or Medicine Man or Woman for healing on all levels not just for the body. Jesus taught his disciples how to heal others using essential oils and through energy work though it is rarely taught today.

Until the 20th century, healing was never only physical. Only when modern day medicine became popular, this trend was started. Allopathic medicine does not truly heal - however, it can get us out of crisis; and therefore while it is essential for modern day society, it is not a cure all. And it certainly doesn't address the emotional and spiritual issues of dis-ease.

In the book of Mark, Jesus teaches his disciples about they could heal with Anointing oil. He also adds that physical and spiritual healing are associated with each other and it calls for the acknowledgement of the same from the individuals who are seeking healing. He clearly states that healing starts internally and must be inline with God's way. He states it is very important to believe that He is the Healer! In short, Anointing oil was used to heal an individual physically, spiritually and emotionally.

Want to know what's used for Anointing Oil? Pure Olive Oil, Spikenard Essential Oil, Frankincense Essential Oil, Myrrh Essential Oil, etc. If you believe in the power of Anointing Oil, it is a good idea to have a piece of the Holy Land. We offer the best to God, right? Likewise, Anointing Oil is best when only the best ingredients go into making it. You can get a bottle for yourself and use it after praying, or have your Pastor pray before using it. The scent, I must say, is warm, invigorating and calming. What is your opinion?
